Days 100
Chapters 10
Per day 30–90 min
Cost Free 100 Days of Posters. One poster a day. One hundred opportunities to become a better designer.
A guided curriculum that moves from visual hierarchy to a personal visual language. Each day teaches one principle and gives you a brief to practise it. Go at your own pace — skipping a day is fine.
How it works 1 Read the brief Each day introduces one principle with a short lesson, a brief and a few constraints.
2 Make the poster Use any tool. Keep to the timebox — finished matters more than perfect.
3 Share it Post with #100DaysOfPosters and tag @alex.presa so others can learn alongside you.
4 Come back tomorrow Mark the day complete. Your progress is saved in this browser — no account needed.
Ten chapters. The curriculum builds gradually. Learn the rules first, use them deliberately, then question them — and finish with work that feels like your own.
01 Foundations Learn visual hierarchy, alignment, spacing, contrast, scale, balance, and composition.
02 Typography Explore type anatomy, typographic hierarchy, letterforms, kerning, tracking, expressive type, and type-only compositions.
03 Colour Explore colour theory, complementary colours, monochromatic systems, colour psychology, contrast, and limited palettes.
04 Composition Explore grid systems, asymmetry, negative space, repetition, rhythm, geometric compositions, and unconventional layouts.
05 Image Making Explore photography, collage, illustration, image manipulation, texture, and abstraction.
06 Concept & Meaning Learn how to communicate ideas visually through metaphor, symbolism, storytelling, visual wit, emotion, and conceptual design.
07 Design History Explore historical design movements by making original work inspired by their principles — never by copying their posters.
08 Experimentation Explore unconventional techniques, creative constraints, distortion, generative design, creative coding, and mixed media.
09 Art Direction Create posters for imagined events, institutions, films, releases, exhibitions, and fictional brands. Translate a brief into a cohesive visual direction.
10 Personal Style Develop an increasingly recognisable visual language and synthesise everything you have learned.
