The principle
Public service posters have a job: to change behaviour. They must grab attention, deliver one message and make the action obvious. From wartime posters to public health campaigns, the best examples respect their audience and are designed to be understood in seconds.
Objective. Design a poster that motivates a specific action.
The brief
Design a public service poster encouraging people in your area to do one specific, positive thing.
Choose a real, local issue: drinking water, recycling properly, checking on a neighbour, using the bike lane.
Constraints
- One message, one action
- Readable in three seconds
- Maximum three colours
- Avoid guilt or fear as the main motivator
You're done when
- A single, clear action
- A positive, respectful tone
- Immediate readability
Stretch goal
Design it so it works at bus-shelter scale and as a small phone image.
