Day 44: Draw It Badly
Speed and imperfection over polish.

The principle
Drawing well is not the point. Drawing quickly forces you to capture the essence of something — its gesture, its silhouette, its most important details. Imperfect drawings often have more energy and honesty than polished ones. Many celebrated illustrators deliberately keep a raw, unpolished line.
Objective. Embrace imperfection and gesture in illustration.
The brief
Make ten 60-second drawings of the same subject, then design a poster for a community event using your favourite.
Constraints
- Ten drawings, maximum 60 seconds each
- Use the drawing as it is — no tidying up
- Any drawing tool
- Maximum three colours
You're done when
- A spontaneous, unpolished drawing
- Type that complements its energy
- A cohesive poster
Stretch goal
Draw with your non-dominant hand.
