Draw every letter yourself.

The principle
Lettering is drawing letters rather than typing them. It brings the hand back into typography — imperfection, rhythm and personality that no font can replicate. It also teaches you how letters are constructed: where the weight goes, how curves meet stems, and why consistency matters.
Objective. Understand letter construction by drawing letters by hand.
The brief
Design a poster for a local market or bakery using only hand-drawn lettering.
Constraints
- All letters drawn by hand — pencil, brush, marker or tablet
- No fonts at all
- Maximum two colours
- Scan or photograph analogue work cleanly
You're done when
- Every letter drawn by hand
- Consistent style and weight
- Readable at poster distance
Stretch goal
Draw the title three times in three different styles before choosing one.
